Snapmaker U1 firmware V2.0.0
Rainbow filament display, French, and fixes for top-cover chamber waiting and a file-name shutdown bug. The release notes say to recalibrate afterwards, even though Snapmaker's index page says you don't need to.
We haven't tested this yet
Snapmaker released U1 firmware V2.0.0 on 15 September 2026. From the release notes:
- Rainbow filament display, and French language support.
- Fixed the printer waiting for the chamber to heat when the top cover was in external circulation mode.
- Fixed G-code file names starting with
#causing an abnormal shutdown. - Standard-flow G-code on a high-flow nozzle now gives a warning instead of refusing to print.
Recalibrate or not?
The V2.0.0 notes say: “please update the nozzle configuration in Settings > Maintenance > Toolhead Info, and re‑run Multi-toolhead Offset Calibration and Heated Bed Leveling.” Snapmaker’s firmware index page says no recalibration is needed after upgrading. When the two disagree, re-running the offset calibration costs a few minutes and removes the doubt.
The release before
V1.6.0 (25 August) added a 0.4 mm high-flow nozzle option, an AI-monitoring issue report (“available only in Cloud mode”), and better tip forming when filament is unloaded.
What we’ll run
Our U1 hasn’t arrived. We’ll record the firmware it ships with before updating anything.
