Bambu Lab
H2C
Up to 7 nozzles, nozzle exchange
We don't have this machine, so there's no photo. We don't use manufacturer renders.
Overview
We don't have this printer. Everything on this page comes from the manufacturer, with a source for each fact. See the machines we're testing.
An enclosed dual-nozzle printer based on the H2D, whose right nozzle is swapped automatically from the Vortek rack of up to six induction-heated hotends.
The H2C keeps the H2D's two-nozzle toolhead. The left side uses a standard H2 hotend. The right side takes induction hotends that the Vortek Hotend Change System swaps from a rack inside the chamber. Up to six Vortek hotends plus the fixed left hotend gives up to seven nozzles in one print without purging. Hotends heat by induction (Bambu claims about 8 s to PLA temperature), communicate contactlessly, and remember the filament they last printed.
Only the hotend is exchanged, not the whole toolhead, so filament still has to feed through AMS units into the right extruder. Bambu notes that the 'no purging' claim excludes the initial purge when new filament is loaded into a hotend. The Vortek rack takes up chamber space, so the bed is narrower than the H2D's and the build plates are not interchangeable.
